Can I ask how you got the Obsidian Vault connection to coordinate all this data? My agent doesn’t seem to be able to hold very much in memory.md so I’m limited what I’m having it remember.
I finally got the Twilio thing working OK by telling it to introduce a short delay so it hears everything you said vs starting to respond immediately and speaking over you - it introduces latency but works a lot better.
I’m setting it up as my personal trainer tomorrow so I can put it on speakerphone and it can walk me through my workout and keep me motivated 🙂
i have some strongly worded instructions in the agents.md file to always query the obsidian vault and the memory too and i also very often explicitly ask to do a search in the vault
A good introduction. Excited to see how it evolves. I think the framing at the end is selling Alfred short, a bot equipped with a personalized, ontologically organized and locally owned map of user characteristics has potential above and beyond an Alexa clone.
One thing I’m wondering… isn’t this basically exactly what the big tech companies have been doing with surveillance capitalism? Building profiles on us and nudging our behavior with them? Makes me wonder if you could get access to some of your data exhaust and add that to Alfred’s understanding of you. Cool thing to democratize.
it kinda is, yes. utility and sovereignty are two different dimensions of the same topic. i agree that Alfred does have the potential to be a lot more than Alexa could ever be. it already is in some ways. but i’m so tired of the hype that i’d rather sell it short haha :D

PS also have diagnosed ADHD. my system right now is that my phone and my computer live in my co-working space (I'm screen free at home).
